Save immediately after accepting the quest "Wasp's Nest" and the first attack in Zalesye. Wasp's Nest Broke My Save? If you, like me, have found yourself in this situation, I suggest a continuation save.

Installation instructions:

Download the archive and unzip it, moving the files
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Steam\SaveGames
