Before each city's bosses and before the finale. The developer has designed saves so that after loading a save, you find yourself in the hub (city) and have to run to the boss, albeit the shortcut (thankfully, all the doors are open). This is for those stuck on a certain episode and unable to progress due to a bug or broken script, or for those who simply want to see one of the endings.

Don't forget to back up your saves, as they may not work on newer versions!
