I've purchased the most powerful ship in the game, completed several quests, leveled up my hero a bit, and collected some resources. I've also made some changes to house and port construction. My inventory now contains the final map piece, which I'm assembling on the map table for the pyramid-related quest.
P.S. I'm playing through the game for the first time and sharing my saves. I believe this is my last save for this game. Enjoy your gaming.
