In the training screen, you can go to ‘Rest’ and change your policies to go easy on your players if that is what you need for that time of the year. And you can always put it back to how it was in easier parts of the year.

You can also give first team players a couple of days rest after each match if you like. That might make the game too easy though.

In games where you are comfortably getting a result later on you can lower tempo, lower pressing, waste time or play for set pieces to preserve your players’ energy, while making logical substitutions to the same end.

And of course, manage training and team rotation with your own managerial skills so you don’t subject too many players to heavy match load and training load.
